Physiotherapy for Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis

A Physiotherapy treatment program for the prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis can improve the strength of your bones. A gradual step-by-step approach to regaining the strength of your bones and confidence in yourself will ensure that movement remains a key strategy to allow you to take control over your quality of life today and tomorrow.


General Physiotherapy

General Physiotherapy includes an initial assessment and followup treatment sessions for various medical conditions other than Osteoporosis.

Margaret is a bilingual registered physiotherapist. She will help you resolve your problem, get you moving better and feeling stronger. Margaret combines her extensive exercise prescription experience that she has developed as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist along with hands-on techniques such as myofascial release and trigger point work to find the best solution for you.

She is the author of three books, Strengthen Your Core, Exercise for Better Bones, and Yoga for Better Bones as well as a growing library of video workouts for the aging body.

Margaret graduated from McGill University’s School of Physical Therapy in 1984. She teaches Yoga, Tai Chi, and Nordic Walking and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Margaret has worked in a variety of clinical and industrial settings in Canada and the US.

She is the recipient of the 2011 Award of Distinction from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario for her achievements and significant contributions to Physical Therapy.
